Croft’s car shipping service is not just for companies that import and/or export vehicles; you may be moving abroad, or planning a long trip and want to take your wheels with you. Perhaps you’re working away and need your specialist vehicle while you’re there. Whatever the reason, Team Croft will take care of your vehicle’s journey from end to end, while you get on with your journey in comfort.
How does It work?
Large containers are used, with vehicles ‘chocked’ to keep them stable and steady no matter what the ship’s movement. We also arrange Ro-Ro shipping (roll on-roll off). This is the method commonly used when shipping vehicles to America. In this case the customer is asked to drive the vehicle to the port. Team Croft arrange all the necessary paperwork, including DVLA documents to ensure full compliance. Dock crews then drive your vehicle into a dedicated section of the vessel.
Safe shipping of motorbikes can be via a smaller crate with the bike firmly secured inside. Or, via Ro-Ro shipping, where the bike is anchored safely to the side. Alternatively, a metal framework can also be made to protect the vehicle while in transit. Team Croft will discuss your options with you.
