General
Almost all services in and out of the country have been suspended until further notice, with BA, Virgin, EasyJet, Ryanair, Wizz Air, Air France, Lufthansa and Emirates all cancelling their schedules for now. One BA flight actually returned to Heathrow mid-flight after almost reaching Tel Aviv.
Airlines have therefore stopped accepting any air cargo bookings to and from Israel, which has resulted in some shipments being snagged that were already in transit.
Ocean freight has not been seriously impacted by the situation so far. A recent Maersk advisory notice confirmed that the main ports, including Ashdod and Haifa, are operating normally, and so are road and rail freight movements internally. Most carriers are continuing to accept bookings, but are reviewing the situation regularly.
